A Vibe Kanban alternative with a shared board
Vibe Kanban's company shut down and its shared board is gone. Mirasim keeps a team board of items next to coding agents running in their own worktrees.

The short answer
On April 10, 2026, bloop, the company behind Vibe Kanban, shut down. Its remote services, including kanban issues, comments, projects and organisations, were removed after 30 days. Local workspaces still run, and the project lives on as open source maintained by the community.
What went away is the shared board. Mirasim has one: the team's items sit in a list or a board in the same space where coding agents run, and an item can start a session that runs in its own Git worktree.
At a glance
| Vibe Kanban | Mirasim | |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Company closed in April 2026; open source and community maintained, marked as sunsetting | Maintained and open for new users |
| Board | Remote kanban issues, comments, projects and organisations were removed; local workspaces remain | Items in a list or a board with To do, In progress, In review and Done columns; drag a card to change its status |
| From a task to an agent | Create a workspace where a coding agent runs, with a branch, a terminal and a dev server | New session on an item starts a session for it, run by you or an assistant, and the result comes back into the item |
| Parallel work | Each workspace gives an agent its own branch | Tick worktree in the composer and the session runs in a new Git worktree on its own branch |
| Agents | Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Amp, Cursor, OpenCode, Droid, CCR and Qwen Code | Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code, DeepSeek Harness, OpenCode, Qwen Code, Pi, Antigravity, ZCode and Grok Build |
| Team | Organisations were a remote feature and have been removed | Invite people to a collab space: they share the board, the sessions and the team chat |
| How you run it | npx vibe-kanban, open source under Apache-2.0 | A desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, plus phone apps |
Setting up the board in Mirasim
- Make your computer a collab space
Items live in collab spaces. Turning your own computer into one is free; a hosted team space works too.
- Add items and switch to the board
Write items at the top of the list, or pick them out of an agent's answer, then switch from List to Board.
- Start a session from an item
Open an item and choose New session. Tick worktree so each item's work stays on its own branch.
Limits to know about in Mirasim
- Mirasim isn't open source.
- Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Amp, Cursor and Droid aren't among the agents Mirasim runs.
- The board is on the desktop; the phone app shows items as a list.
- Mirasim doesn't import Vibe Kanban tasks.
Questions
- Is Vibe Kanban shut down?
- The company behind it, bloop, shut down on April 10, 2026, and the remote features were removed. The open source project and local workspaces continue, maintained by the community.
- What can replace Vibe Kanban's shared board?
- In Mirasim, items in a collab space have a board view shared by everyone in the space, and each item can start an agent session.
- Can several agents work on one repository at once?
- Yes. Give each session its own worktree, so each agent works on its own branch and you decide what to merge.
