Mirasim vs Grok Bot
Grok Bot gives each person always-on Bots. Mirasim lets a team steer one coding agent session together. Where each one is the better choice.
The short answer
Both keep working after you close your laptop. Grok Bot gives each person named Bots to hand work to, across apps and websites. Mirasim is built for coding: several people steer one coding agent session together, on a machine they share.
If your work is mostly business tasks across many apps, start with Grok Bot. If your team writes code together and wants to choose its agents and models, start with Mirasim.
At a glance
| Grok Bot | Mirasim | |
|---|---|---|
| What you work with | Named Bots you message, on a cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal | Coding agents in sessions: Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code, DeepSeek Harness, OpenCode, Qwen Code, Pi, Antigravity, ZCode and Grok Build |
| Working with teammates | A shared Bot (Team Bots) gives everyone the same Bot, and each person's chat with it is private. In a Slack channel, anyone can give a shared Bot work in a thread | Turn on “Share with members” and everyone sends into one session. Each message shows its sender, and one person's turn runs at a time |
| Choosing the model | Grok Bot picks the model for each task. There is no model picker, and it doesn't show which model ran | You pick the agent and model for each session, and can switch agents while keeping the conversation |
| Paying for usage | A weekly pool shared with Cursor and Grok on The X Subscription (Premium, Super, Ultra), then prepaid credit | Your own subscription or API key, a key shared with the team and billed by its provider, or Mirasim credit |
| Where it runs | One persistent cloud computer per user, shared by all of that person's Bots. It runs commands on your desktop only if you allow it | A team space we host (Linux or Mac), your own computer, or an SSH server you manage |
| After you close your laptop | Keeps working | A team space keeps running. Your own computer has to stay on and awake |
| Apps | macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, Android | macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, iPhone (through TestFlight) |
What Grok Bot does well
- Work across everyday apps
- A Bot uses connected apps where they exist and computer use for the rest, so it can finish work in your CRM, browser and documents.
- Setup by message
- You create a Bot, describe the job, and grant access when it asks. There is no workflow builder.
- Learning by demonstration
- Walk a Bot through a task once and it can save the steps as a skill and rerun them on a schedule.
- Bots that coordinate
- Two to six Bots can work in one group chat and hand tasks to each other.
- Voice
- You can dictate to a Bot or start a voice chat.
What Mirasim does well
- One session, several people
- Everyone can watch the agent work and send the next instruction, and every message shows who sent it. Grok Bot's docs describe group chats as two to six Bots and shared Bot chats as private to each person; we didn't find a way for several people to work in one Bot chat in its docs.
- Your choice of agent and model
- Run ten coding agents side by side, choose the model for each session, and switch agents without losing the conversation.
- Your own accounts
- Use a subscription or API key you already pay for. Share a DeepSeek or Kimi key with the team without showing anyone the key.
- A machine you control
- Use a space we host, or make your own Mac, PC or Linux server the shared machine.
- A team chat around the work
- Channels and threads live in the same space, and @-mentioning an assistant starts a session there and posts the result back in the thread.
- Publishing
- Put what you built on the web as a page, game, service or agent for people outside the team.
Limits to know about in Mirasim
- Personal Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions can only be used by their owner. To steer a session together, use a model everyone can use: a shared DeepSeek or Kimi key, or space credit.
- Only one person's turn runs at a time in a shared session.
- Team spaces can't be reached from networks in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau. The local app and the phone app still work there.
- A space has 5 collaborator seats, plus up to 100 observers who take no seat. Write to support@mirasim.ai to add seats.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose Grok Bot if
- You want an assistant for sales, operations or research across many apps, you already pay for The X Subscription or Cursor, and you're happy to let it choose the model.
- Choose Mirasim if
- Your team builds software together, you want to see and steer the same agent run, or you want to pick Claude Code, Codex, DeepSeek Harness or Kimi Code yourself.
The two don't conflict. You can use Grok Bot for work across apps and Mirasim for the coding.
Questions
- Is Mirasim a Grok Bot alternative?
- For coding work, yes. For tasks spread across business apps, Grok Bot is built more directly for that.
- Can I use Grok in Mirasim?
- Yes, through Grok Build, xAI's coding agent. Grok Bot itself doesn't run inside Mirasim.
- Can several people use one Grok Bot?
- Yes, as a shared Bot on a Cursor team. Each person's chat with it is private, and the owner and Managers can't read those chats. In Slack, anyone in the channel can give a shared Bot work in a thread.
- Do they keep working when my laptop is closed?
- Grok Bot does, on its cloud computer. In Mirasim, a team space does. If you use your own computer, it has to stay on and awake.
- How much do they cost?
- Grok Bot is included in The X Subscription's Premium, Super and Ultra plans and in paid Cursor plans; see docs.x.ai/x-subscription/grok-bot. For Mirasim, see mirasim.ai/pricing.
