A Conductor alternative for Mac, Windows and Linux
Conductor is joining Meta and its cloud shuts down Nov 20. Mirasim runs on Mac, Windows and Linux and picks up your Conductor worktrees and chats in place.

The short answer
Conductor is joining Meta. Since November 4, new users can't sign up or download the app. Conductor Cloud workspaces go read-only on November 13, and Conductor starts deleting cloud data on November 20. The local Mac app keeps getting new models and critical fixes until it winds down in early 2027.
Mirasim does the same core job: each session can run in its own Git worktree on its own branch, so Claude Code, Codex and other agents work on one repository side by side without touching each other's files. It also runs on Windows and Linux, and you can bring teammates into the same sessions.
Your Conductor work comes with you. Add the repository in Mirasim, and every Conductor workspace on your Mac shows up under it by branch name, uncommitted changes included. The Claude Code and Codex chats inside are there too, and you can keep chatting in them. Nothing is copied or converted: Mirasim reads them where they are.
At a glance
| Conductor | Mirasim | |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Joining Meta. No new sign-ups or downloads; the local app winds down in early 2027 | Open for new users |
| Computers | macOS. Its docs say it is not available for Windows or Linux yet | macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows and Linux, plus Android and iPhone (through TestFlight) apps |
| Agents | Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode | Claude Code, Codex, Kimi Code, DeepSeek Harness, OpenCode, Qwen Code, Pi, Antigravity, ZCode and Grok Build |
| Parallel work | Each task gets an isolated workspace: a Git worktree on its own branch | Tick worktree in the composer and the session runs in a new Git worktree branched off the base branch you pick |
| Reviewing changes | Review the diff, open a pull request, merge and archive the workspace | A source control panel with a diff for every file, then commit, or commit and push in one step |
| Working with teammates | Not covered in its docs | Make a computer a collab space, invite people, and share sessions: everyone sees the same runs and can send into the same session |
| Cloud | Conductor Cloud goes read-only on November 13 and is deleted from November 20 | Optional hosted team spaces, or your own computer or Linux server made a collab space |
Moving over from Conductor
- Bring Conductor Cloud workspaces to your Mac first
Cloud goes read-only on November 13. Before then, right-click each cloud workspace you want to keep and choose Transfer to local, which moves it and its chats to your Mac. To keep a full archive, use Settings › Account › Export data before November 20.
- Install Mirasim and add the repository
Sign in, then add the repository folder you first added to Conductor as a workspace, not one of the workspace folders Conductor created for each task.
- Open a workspace and keep going
Each Conductor workspace is listed under the repository by its branch, with its uncommitted changes and its Claude Code and Codex chats. Open a chat and send a message to continue it. For new parallel work, tick worktree in the composer.

Limits to know about in Mirasim
- Cursor isn't one of the agents Mirasim runs.
- Chats you ran with Cursor in Conductor don't carry over; Claude Code and Codex chats do.
- Mirasim doesn't run Conductor's setup, run or archive scripts, or copy files like .env into new worktrees. Put those steps in CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md, or run them in the session's terminal.
- Personal Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions can only be used by their owner. To steer a session with teammates, use a model everyone can use, such as a shared DeepSeek or Kimi key or space credit.
- Hosted team spaces can't be reached from networks in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau. The local app works there.
Questions
- Is Conductor shutting down?
- Conductor Cloud is: it goes read-only on November 13, 2026 and its data is deleted from November 20. The local Mac app keeps working and winds down in early 2027, when Conductor says it will delete all user data.
- Is there a Conductor alternative for Windows or Linux?
- Mirasim's desktop app runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and a Linux server without a desktop can be set up with one command.
- Can I keep my Conductor chats?
- Claude Code and Codex chats, yes. Add the repository in Mirasim and each chat shows up under its workspace; open it and keep going. Chats run with Cursor don't carry over.
- Can I keep using Claude Code and Codex?
- Yes, with the accounts you already use, alongside eight other coding agents.
- Is Mirasim free?
- The app is free with your own agent accounts and API keys. Hosted team spaces are paid; see mirasim.ai/pricing.
